Training Specialist - NDT
Description
We are seeking an experienced NDT Instructor with strong practical experience in UTSW, PT, MT, RT, and UTT to conduct training, examinations, and competency development for NDT personnel. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multiple NDT methods, strong documentation skills, and clear verbal communication in English.
Responsibilities
- Strong practical experience in PAUT & UTSW.
- Working knowledge of PT, MT, RT, UT, and UTT
- Knowledge of Radiation Safety (principles, safe work practices, regulatory awareness)
- Good verbal communication skills in English
- Strong computer skills (file management, document control, reporting)
- Excel proficiency (data entry, formatting, basic formulas, logs/records management)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in teaching/training/coaching in NDT (in-house training, institutes, mentoring, competency assessments)
- Level III certification in any NDT method
Job Benefits
Conduct training and examinations for new trainees in RT, PAUT, UT, UTT, MT, PT, and RPP
- Provide refresher training for existing technicians
- Maintain and control training and certification documentation as per Written Practice and quality procedures.
- Prepare and maintain training records (attendance, assessments, competency documentation)
- Maintain and safeguard training materials, facilities, and samples
- Promote safe working practices, including radiation safety awareness and lab/workshop discipline
- Support trainees with technique, calibration basics, and interpretation fundamentals (as applicable)
- Assist in developing training materials, presentations, and Excel-based training logs
