Description
The Procurement Quality Control Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing quality-related activities within the procurement department to ensure that all purchased materials, equipment, and services meet project specifications and applicable standards. This position plays a key role in supporting the department’s goal of maintaining a reliable supply chain while ensuring compliance with quality requirements, technical specifications, and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage quality control activities related to procurement, including supplier evaluations, inspections, and compliance checks.
- Develop and implement material inspection plans in coordination with procurement and other related departments.
- Review and verify material certificates, test reports, and inspection records for compliance with purchase specifications.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers, third-party inspectors, and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Participate in kick-off meetings with vendors to ensure understanding of quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
- Monitor and report on quality performance indicators and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with international codes, project specifications, and company procedures.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and material quality.
Qualifications
Minimum Education : Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or any equivalent
Minimum Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement quality control
Training and Certifications : NACE CP2, ISO Lead Auditor , NDT
